Martha
Montag Brown is a nationally recognized executive search consultant specializing
in foundation and corporate social responsibility searches.
She has worked with more than 20 clients, including Levi Strauss &
Co., Nike, The James Irvine Foundation, The San Francisco Foundation, The
Packard Foundation and Business for Social Responsibility.
Martha has placed more than fifty individuals, more than half of whom are
people of color.
Prior
to starting her consulting and search practice, Martha headed both the global
Community Affairs and Foundation functions for Levi Strauss & Co. She directed a staff of 25, and had responsibility for seven
offices in the United States and overseas.
Martha led the development of the company’s AIDS funding program, began
the anti-racism initiative (now known as Project Change), spearheaded the
company’s work-family program and developed international giving programs in
countries including Japan, New Zealand and the Philippines.
Martha has served on numerous boards, and is currently a trustee of
Crestview Preparatory School. She
holds a B.S. from Georgetown University.
