Susan Little  

Susan has worked for more than 25 years in the philanthropic and non-profit sectors.  She has experience in grantmaking, administration and communications, gained through responsibilities for both U.S. and international programs.  She has done substantial work in developing and implementing policies, procedures and systems for organizations undergoing major growth and transitions.  She has extensive knowledge of legal issues affecting foundations and corporate giving programs.

Susan was a senior manager in Global Public Affairs at Levi Strauss & Co. where her responsibilities included grantmaking in AIDS and economic development and training for staff and consultants worldwide.  Previously, she worked for eight years at The San Francisco Foundation, a community foundation.  Consulting clients have included The Russell Family Foundation, The California Endowment and the Northern California Grantmakers.  She recently completed a nine-month assignment as acting environment program officer for The San Francisco Foundation.  Susan has a B.A. from Harvard University.
